Today, I added a "search history box" in the search. So, the users can go back to their previous searches. This feature uses session cookies, therefore, the history will be stored for a bit while even if the browser is closed. Neat ain't it.

 

This weekend, with the support of grande amounts of coffee, StarvingEngineers.com gained a pretty cool Job Search feature.

What was involved with this job search implementation?

• SimplyHired.com 's Job's XML API.
• Mootools' object oriented javascript framework as the AJAX backbone and neat client-side tricks.
• XML to XSLT tranformations on the server with libxslt and php dom.
